Hello all,

 

I installed unraid the other day on a new server I am migrating to from just a plain ubuntu desktop. I am having some troubles with it however. The server used to be my Desktop PC for the past 6 years and had no internet issues with it during that time so I do not believe it to be hardware issues.

 

Main issues -

Plex no longer accessible Remotely, I have opened up port 32400 on my router for the new server ip, it connects and then about 1-3 minutes later it drops the connection and no longer will allow it to connect unless I go in and manually select  Plex Remote Access. Will be posting this in a plex specific forum as well to see if it is something plex related. Have tried the binhex-plexpass as well as the official plex server docker container to no success. On my old server it was able to successfully route through my ISP. Have disabled UPNP as I have seen that can cause some issues, and have checked 3rd party port checkers and it says my port is closed intermittently.

 

Myservers API - Consistently shows that I am offline although it will connect for a few seconds and then drop. Currently giving error of Client Connection Closed.

 

Have also tried some terminal commands to see if I could find the issue, net lookup google.com did find their IP, however when i did ping -c5 google.com I got returned name or service not found.

 

Any ideas here, I would prefer my plex to not be down externally until monday to see if it is an issue with my ISP with the new server port or anything like that. But with the other issues I am wondering if it is something on the server itself.

Update, Plex is working now, most likely ISP issue but still having issues with the my servers API error.
