Every file in /boot/ is suddenly gone?

Featured Replies

I haven't rebooted the machine yet. I've captured the syslog (attached). Anyone have any idea about this? Is my USB stick fried? I've only had it about 6 months. If I reboot, will I be able to recover anything off the USB stick? There were some script files I was working on there that I don't have a backup of. What can/should I do next?

Here's an extract from the log, at the point where I think all the trouble started.

A reboot will probably get them back.  Apparently, your USB device disconnected, so all reads of it fail.  (You could try un-plugging and re-inserting the USB flash drive, but it might not work if the port has been disabled by the OS)

Rebooted, and it came back up and started a correcting parity check. Is unRAID supposed to do that? Shouldn't it do a non-correcting parity check, and at least require me to confirm that I want to correct parity before making any changes?
