Backing up the main UnRaid Array to another pool within the same server.

Featured Replies

The main UnRaid array consisting of 20 SSDs of 1TB each with 2 parity drives. Total 18 TB.

A ZFS pool with 3 x 10TB HDDs in RaidZ1 config, giving a total of 20TB.

I would like to have incremental backups from main SSD array to the HDD pool. How can I achieve this?

The purpose:-

1) To have a mirrored backup on HDD for long term storage

2) The SSD array would always be mounted with read / write permissions, whereas the HDD pool will never be mounted and just be used as a backup.

3) The ability to roll back on a previous version of backup incase of a ransomware attack. Am I overthinking?
