User Script - Restart Unraid If Network Connection Lost

I'm looking for assistance with creating a user script to run hourly.

Background: My server has been set up and working great for several months. However, it has recently been moved to a remote location and I'm now occasionally losing the ability to access the webgui remotely. I have wireguard set up and can connect to services using their lan ip:port addresses. Normally I can simply use the server's lan ip to access the webgui when connected with wireguard, but occasionally I can't access it at all, even while other services remain accessible. When this happens, I typically have to call someone up who is local to the server and ask them to do a hard shutdown/restart. This is inconvenient and I'm sure not good on the server.

What I would like to do is create a script that can identify when the webgui is not responding and perform a graceful reboot.

Is this something that can be done?

If I ping the server from itself (via a user script) would it be able to identify if the Unraid webgui is accessible or not?

I've only ever run scripts that others have written, so I'm not sure how to move forward.

If there is a better way to manage this issue, I'm up for suggestions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Mike-
