I have a problem with my linux initial installation. I get jc@jc-Laptop-12th-Gen-Intel-Core:~/Desktop$ sudo bash ./make_bootable_linux

INFO: make_bootable_linux v1.3

INFO: The following device appears to be the unRAID USB Flash drive: /dev/sdbto solve this and complete the installation?

INFO: Temporarily mounting unRAID USB Flash drive to /tmp/UNRAID_TMP_MOUNT

FAIL: unRAID Flash drive detected but unable to detect where it is currently mounted, aborting!

It sounds like you created the UNRAID volume name correctly but it it isn't seeing it.   I ran into this last night when I was planning on evaluating it this weekend.

In short, I figured out that I had to follow the steps in the documents.  I know right?!  In my excitement to test this puppy out, I had FAILED to COPY all of the files to the flash drive, I assumed that the script was going to do it for me.  Oh how wrong I was.  After I re-read the instructions, I realized that I needed to do this first. so I copied everything over, and the script happily ran.

In my case it was that I had formated the USB in gparted with a boot flag. Once I reformated the drive without the flag all went fine.
