tight-lipped-guesthouse5903
I only use my unraid server to backup documents and photos. I have windows 11 PC only set up a single share on my NAS. Both PC and NAS have static 192.168.x.x IP addresses. Everything works fine until the NAS is shutdown, re-booted, or the power goes out. When the NAS is powered on / re-booted, the shares are no longer accessible via my Win 11 PC. The only way I've been able to fix it is to go into the NAS gui, settings, network settings, and re-inter the static 192.168.x.x IP address. Reboot both machines and it all works again. I've searched and searched but cannot find the answer as to why this happens. I don't want or need to run my NAS server 24/7. I'd like to be able to only turn it on and access it when I need to back-up some files. Why do I always have to re-enter the IP address in the network settings to access my shared folder? Thanks in advance for any help. Edited October 27, 2023 by tight-lipped-guesthouse5903 typos Quote Link to comment
