October 30, 201114 yr Hi Guys. I am waiting for my kit to arrive but just wondering if i should go with the Beta from the get go? with each new release of the beta and then the final is it just a case of coping a few files over? If i did go with the beta and then had issues can i roll back to 4.7 with out any major issues? Thanks in advance
October 30, 201114 yr I have been running beta since the 5.0 series and with little problems. The general though is that if it is critical data then stick with the stable releases. If it is data that is easily replaced (movies, music, etc) then play with the beta. I have 20 tb of data that can be replaced so I don't mind the worry. I have the ability to use 3tb drives which u can not use in the 4.xx series. sent from my HTC desire using tapatalk

October 30, 201114 yr I have looked at many storage systems (raid, drobo, whs, etc) and found that for storage (not security mind you) I found that with the use of off the shelf parts and the use of mixed drives this is one of the best systems available. Not to mention the costs. With the exception of the key (which isn't needed for a 3 drive (up to 9tb) system it can be a very cheap solution. sent from my HTC desire using tapatalk

October 31, 201114 yr Oh yeah, forgot the whole parity party (without that it would simply be an external drive). Still though, 6tb is still nice to try out with sent from my HTC desire using tapatalk
