demanding-chief3698
First, please let me say that UNRAID is awesome! I put up a Plex ecosystem of dockers and it seems to be running great. I put up a Windows 10 VM and I really liked how quick it was in my system. I have recently read that support for Windows 10 is going away in the Fall of 2025. No more security updates. I decided to try and upgrade my Windows 10 VM to Windows 11. I changed the BIOS settings (secure boot and TPM) in the server. I also changed the BIOS setting in the Windows 10 VM to OVMF TPM. PC Health Check said I was eligible for an upgrade to Windows 11; however, when I went into Windows Update it said I was NOT eligible. The only thing I did at that point was to download Windows 11 Installation Assistant and ran it. It took the better part of an hour but it installed Windows 11 perfectly. It seems to running as fast as Windows 10. I had seen other instructions requiring installing a new VM and copying the vdisk.img. I did not quite understand the process; so, I just did the above and it seems to be working great. Just wanted to give back to this wonderful community with my experience. Quote Link to comment
