cannot compile packages (compiler cannot create executables)

Featured Replies

Hello,

I upgrade to version 5B13 about a week ago from v.4.7

I can't seem to compile using makepkg anymore. It worked with 4.7

When i try to ./configure, I get;

checking for g++... g++

checking whether the C++ compiler works... no

configure: error: in `/mnt/user/stuff/package.creator/rtorrent/rtorrent-0.8.9':

configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables

See `config.log' for more details

config.log shows;

...
configure:3084: checking for g++
configure:3100: found /usr/bin/g++
configure:3111: result: g++
configure:3138: checking for C++ compiler version
configure:3147: g++ --version >&5

configure:3204: $? = 1
configure:3242: result: no
configure: failed program was:

I also installed the latest version of gcc and i get the same error;

gcc-4.4.4-i486-1

gcc-g++-4.4.4-i486-1
