April 7, 20242 yr I’ve got a daily driver/gaming vm that works great. What I’m wanting to do is use a share to store games so that I can expand it. I’ve got a couple nvme drives as a share, but I’m noticing some hitching in game and I think it’s because I have an smb share mounted for storage. Is there a better way to do this? I’m trying to avoid creating a vm disk because I want to be able to use the drives for storing multiple things without having to define storage limits, if possible.
