Is it feasible to run Unraid just with a snapRAID setup? My current OMV setup looks like this.SSD1 (ext4): Docker appdataSSD2 (ext4): data drive 1 SSD3 (ext4): data drive 2HDD1 (ext4): parity driveI guess all drives, except SSD1 with the system and appdata, just need to be mounted as unassigned devices. Do I have to start with a clean parity drive or can I work of the existing parity file on HDD1?You can use the existing parity file just fine, it's not bound to the OS in any manner.Easiest would be to mount them within unassigned devices, but then you'd need to roll your own solution for pooling the data (e.g. mergerFS).Otherwise many people put the disks into the Unraid array without Unraid parity (SnapRAID parity as an Unraid data drive) and use SnapRAID.In that case Unraid takes care of the pooling, you get the Unraid mover benefits (share settings etc), but keep using SnapRAID itself for parity. But unless you're super happy with SnapRAID or have a need for it (e.g. error correction), I'd also look at just using Unraid's parity (which is much easier).

Or has this limitation been addressed lately and I've just missed that?
December 15, 2025Dec 15 So I'd basically have to use my three SSDs as unassigned devices and use the snapRAID plugin to write the parity information to the HDD, when I want to use the snapRAID plugin in Unraid? And unassigned devices also need the dedicated plugin, right? Can I still use one of the unassigned SSDs as a storage for the Docker app data? Or does Unraid require an array or pool for that to work? May 6May 6 Can someone help me out with getting the maintenance command working? I'm able to do all the commands manually, and they all finish their tasks without problem, but when I try using the maintenance cronjob button I end up getting an error that states "snapraid maintenance is not enabled in array settings". I'm not able to find that setting in the plugins ui.
