Hi ...

I am running Logitech Media Server on my unraid system.

Now I also want to add a player to unraid ... therefore I've searched in the apps for "Squeezelite" and found it in the docker hub.

(https://hub.docker.com/r/giof71/squeezelite)

 

I was able to install the squeezelite player ... but it isn't shown in my Logitech Media Server (LMS) as a player.

There are other players from my house shown, but not the player running on my unraid system.

 

Can someone please help me to get in running?

Looks like it's unable to open the output device. It seems none is specified. I'd start there.

Haven't used this docker myself but use it on the desktop and it doesn't start unless all the settings work - assuming that holds true here...

That's right ... in the log I can see that it's unable to open output device.

 

My question is if there is someone running Logitech Media Server (LMS) and has installed a SqueezeLite Player (docker container) to play the music directly on the unraid server?

There are several docker containers on hub.docker.com and I've tested some ... but without any success.

Hi @Formicula1979 I too try to install squeezelite on unraid but it doesn't even start. I also think I have an unrecognized output problem even though my DAC is recognized in unraid. Did you manage to resolve this problem on your side?

Hello, docker image maintainer here. From the logs it seems like the container is not given access to the audio devices (/dev/snd). Can you post your compose file, or more details on how you have started the container?
