May 17, 20242 yr Hi all, New to unraid... quick question -- borgwarehouse. I am trying to start it after manually deploying it, but I am getting an error chmod: changing permissions of '/home/borgwarehouse/.ssh': Operation not permitted chmod: changing permissions of '/home/borgwarehouse/.ssh': Operation not permitted I've tried running it in privileged mode, I've tried manually chmoding the directory. I am unsure what would be causing this issue. Anyone have any luck running borgwarehouse?
May 22, 20242 yr I have tried it myself a few month ago and failed as well. I think the problem is that unraid uses some low UID/GID for running containers and the borgwarehouse docs say: Quote You are free to use the UID:GID of your choice to run borgwarehouse, but it must be greater than 1000 (1000:1000 is already used by the node base image). However, I haven't digged deeper, but I'm curious if someone made it run. Edited May 22, 20242 yr by philkrylc
August 5, 20241 yr Does anyone found a way to deploy BorgWarehouse on Unraid? I have tried multiple way such as building my own image and also tried from the Unraid community apps template by providing the github project name. Everytime I have some permission issue and the container won't start. Looking forward for some solution. Thanks !
February 1, 20251 yr Asking the same question as I am also running into the Operation not permitted issue. Salut @dbr11 , as I was doing research for a solution I came across this link https://github.com/Ravinou/borgwarehouse/issues/270 and it seems you were able to successfully create your own docker-compose file. Would you kindly share how you got this running? Merci
February 1, 20251 yr Hi @Bookingyo, Unfortunately I have deleted the docker and didn't save the docker.compose. But it was pretty straght forward. If I remember I just took the docker-compose from the github repo (https://github.com/Ravinou/borgwarehouse/blob/main/docker-compose.yml) and changed a few things but thats it. Sorry for that.
