May 23, 20242 yr Hi, Aoostar R1 & R7 are getting popular for NAS usage. I've bought Aoostar R1 and performances are good - N100 is better than my previous Celeron J4025 (I was using a QNAP TS-251D). I'm curious about the tuning/tweaks performed by others for such hardware - especially to reduce heat & noise. I'm using stock BIOS and performed no customization so far but I would like to reduce noise and heat - it's correct but I want a close to silent NAS so I can keep it in my living-room. I'm also going to give Sleep S3 a try. I wonder if someone got it working - using the Sleep plugin.
