January 26, 201214 yr Hi Joe, I guess this is directed at you. My dad has a new ups for his server and I am not sure of his unraid version but I am sure it is older than 4.XX versions. He would like to get apcupsd running on his machine. What is the oldest version Unmenu will install on. I may have to go over there and update his servers Unraid version and get this set running for him if his version is too old. Thanks, Dave

You need to have "wget" in the version he is running to get the basic install working. It was added in stock unRAID 4.4, but you can download and install it in any version. Download from: http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware-13.37/slackware/n/wget-1.12-i486-1.txz download to your flash drive. (Make a packages directory and put it there. Do not try to unzip, or unpack) then log in and type: cd /boot/packages installpkg wget-1.12-i486-1.txz Once installed you can use the unmenu_install program as described in its release instructions. January 27, 201214 yr Author Got it all working for him this evening, the version was not as old as I had expected it was 4.3.3. I updated him to 4.7 and installed Unmenu setup powerdown and apcupsd (and we even tested it, he is braver than I and was willing to PULL the power plug with the server on and it all went well. I fixed his internet/router issues as well. They switched from rogers to bell on the weekend and had bell do the install as soon as I opened up his netwrok in windows I new there was an issue. it would take forever to find and populate the network in Win7. Sure enuff, I had asked if the technician went into his router and changed the ppoe setting and NO, they installed a new modem only and set it up as the default gateway and then plugged that into his router and the router defaulted to a dhcp internet connection. so it was like he two spearate dns servers fighting each other. I changed the modem settings and setup the router for PPOE and voila all fixed. All his internal machines (intranet) were setup to use 192.168.0.1 as the gateway as served by the router DHCP but the modem was forcing 192.168.2.1. All fixed up. This was causing all kinds of DHCP polling issues in the syslog DHCPt1, DHCPt2 etc... Thanks Joe.L rgds, Dave
