777 on one server, but only 755 on another

Featured Replies

I'm having a pretty serious issue when I mount my unRaid to a new server right now. For some reason when I mount it to the new server using SMB the folder it makes it 755 instead of 777. If I try and change it to 777 it keeps it at 755. But if I go to my old server and mount it, it mounts it as 777 just fine.

I need it to be 777 because its a storage server and has to accept uploads from users through PHP.

Does anyone have any ideas of something for me to try?

Thanks

The only difference between the two servers is one is running Cents 5.7 the other is running Centos 6. The one that is having the issue is running cents 6.

I just did some more digging around and I noticed that its actually stuck at 755 on the new server where I need it. No matter what permissions I give it, it always goes back to 755.
