Parity Check

Featured Replies

I noticed that when changing flash drive, Unraid automatically started a parity check. Although my server had a complete parity check 5 days ago with no errors. So OK parity check is good and we are better safe than sorry.

But then, I tried to upgrade to a 5Beta Unraid, here we go again, after checking the MBR and valid config and everything, I click start to bring the array on line. You probably all know already, Parity check started up again. This happened  now 5 times in the last 6 days I have been trying to backup my flash with a card reader.

So my question is " Is there a file that can edit or a script I can run so I can stop the AUTOMATIC parity check when trouble shooting or installing new flash drives or new Unraid releases?".

Press the stop button?? Just remember, the array may be broken if you do stop it.

It's the way it is. A new config will require a parity build. Improperly shutting-down the server will require a parity check.

The upgrade to a 5.0beta also sets-up a new array.

Thanks, Peter. I do not want to break my array.  :)
