Unraid Server Rebuild from old Intel to cwwk 86

Featured Replies

I've got an old PC with Intel® Core™ i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz and 5HDDs running my Unraid server. It is mostly Used for Data storage and Plex.

Now i want to have the server run all the time (for immich and nextcloud) with ssd's (for low power) and only boot up the HDD's if files are requested (mostly Plex, everything else will be moved to the ssd's) and I want to use the N100 CPU for better transcoding performance

Now my questions. Is it possible to build the new server with the CWWK x86 p5? I was thinking about using 3 m2 slots with ssd's and one with and m2 to sata adapter to get enough sata adapters for the hdd's (or is ther a better solution to use 5 hdd's with the 2x sata to 12 pin slot) I guess I would need a separate Power source for the HDD's

If all the above is even possible, would i need to make a complete new setup or can i just add my existing HDD's (8TB) under Array devices and the SSD's (4TB) under cache devices with a separate 4TB ssd?

Maybe someone can help me figure out if this is possible or if i should look for another solution.

Thx in advance :)
