USB C Ethernet Interface not being added

Featured Replies

I got a TRENDnet TUC-ET2G(v2. OR) connected to a USB C port of a PCIe hub. The device is detected but not added to the list of available Ethernet interfaces.

I do have installed the RTL8156 plugin. This usb is said to use that Realtek chip.

Could the fact it’s connected to a hub and not a direct usb be interfering?

this is an old Dell T410 without USB3, that’s why I added a PCIe hub.

find some screenshots and the diagnostics attached.

how can I make this available so I can use 2.5gb speeds? Thanks!
