Network problem: Connection refused by reverse proxy

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I am running a few dockers behind a reverse proxy: Nextcloud and Collabora office. They used to work fine with swag as reverse proxy.

Then I tried to install Nextcloud All-in-one, couldn't get the proxy to work with it and abandoned the project.

But now I cannot connect to Nextcloud over the internet. I get a "Connection refused" error in my browser. I checked the configs again and again.

I tried to use a different domain I own. I tried Nginx-Proxy-Manager instead of swag. I always get the same error.

The dockers I connect over CloudflaredTunnel work fine.

What am I missing?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Thorsten

I didn't look at your diagnostics, but if you own a domain then you have absolute power over that. Check the DNS, check the SSL/TLS certificates, in Cloudflare (I assume). You built it, you own it, it's your domain. I might ask what you're using as your router?

Hi MrGrey,

I am using a FritzBox, the aptly named German WiFi-Router by AVM. I opened Ports 443 and 80 and directed them at 1443 and 180 on my server, where the proxy is configured to listen to these ports...

Thanks again,

Thorsten
