A few days ago I was looking to see what I would gain by using SATA150 and IDE combined.  I came across a few posts of people telling their parity check speeds.  2 years ago we used these "benchmarks" to see if our systems where performing up to standards.

 

Say an IDE system should run about 15MB/Sec

 

A SATA300 system about 55MB/Sec
