Nerdbit IT Posted Friday at 11:42 PM Posted Friday at 11:42 PM Hi Unraid community, I’ve recently purchased a CWWK P5 Development Board (Pocket NAS) and am working on a bespoke project. While I’m thrilled with the device’s footprint and functionality, I’ve hit a frustrating roadblock with my setup. https://cwwk.net/products/x86-p5-development-version-special-machine-4-m-2-nvme-adapter-board-only-applicable-to-cwwk-x86-p5-n100-i3-n305-model-的副本?_pos=3&_sid=9e8e75a77&_ss=r I’m trying to use an M.2 NVMe to 6x SATA (ASM1166-based) controller on the primary NVMe slot of the motherboard. Here’s the issue: - On boot, the SATA adapter lights up for 3–4 seconds but then isn’t detected. - The BIOS (AMI APTIO) has an overwhelming number of options, and I’ve tried tweaking several settings, including enabling ASPM and AHCI wherever I found them. Unfortunately, this hasn’t resolved the issue. To troubleshoot: I mounted the x4 NVMe splitter board to the main NVMe slot, attached the SATA adapter to that, and left everything else as is. Surprisingly, the SATA card was detected instantly, and all drives showed up in Unraid without issue. This makes me suspect the SATA adapter isn’t faulty and that the problem lies with a BIOS configuration or how the NVMe slot handles the ASM1166 controller directly. I’d prefer to use the base NVMe slot for the SATA adapter to save space and maximize bandwidth, but I’m stuck. Has anyone else faced similar issues with ASM1166-based cards or AMI APTIO BIOS configurations? Any tips or ideas on what BIOS settings to tweak? Thanks in advance for your help—I’m eager to get this working! Quote
