Hello guys,

I have old Synology (before death)...and I want something new :)). I have idea what I want:

min. 10 x 24tb HDD 3,5"

2x 4-8tb? nvme2

4x 32-64?gb ram

(i have cca 50tb now ...media library, some work, 2x web hosting, 2-3x plex 4k stream, HA.

and....what else? can you help me to find all parts? O.o

I have budget max 4.000,- € (without HDD), and it can be case or rack, and all new parts.

And I have TP-Link ER8411...so it must work together.

I dont understand to hardware, but want to have this for my new home project :)

As a basic framework, I can recommend the following, which I use myself and am very satisfied with:

ASUS Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI

KSM48E40BD8KI-32HA

i7-14700

Noctua NH-D12L

You can use 8 HDDs with the board. You will also need an adapter for the additional HDDs. There are plenty of recommendations for this in the forum. There is also a long post here about the ASUS board that gives you lots of useful tips. With the case, you're looking at around €2,000.
