12 Bay Intel Core Ultra build viable ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

i want to downsize my hardware and future proof my setup.

The build should be powerful with a modest power consumption and space for upgrades in the future.

My build idea would be:

Case:

Jonsbo N5 ATX Full Tower Case

Ram:

128 GB Crucial Pro 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-5600 CL46 Memory

CPU:

Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor 265T or Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 Processor 245T TDP around 35w (?)

Comparison between the two CPU

CPU Cooler:

Noctua NH-P1 Fanless CPU Cooler

Motherboard:

MSI PRO-B860-P with LGA1851 socket

PSU:

be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Lots of Chassis fans, probably Noctua

Drives will be added as needed in the future / SATA only with NVME cache.

I want to deploy the usual containers (plex, next cloud ...) and a few VMs

In the future i will probably add a graphics card to dabble in AI and a 10g card. Also Sata expansion pcie.

My questions are:

Will there be problems with CPU compatibility to Unraid ?

Is this build viable as a whole ?

What are better hardware options when sticking to Intel Ultra Core CPUs ?

Regards
