Providing access to VM of a serial port without IOMMU

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I know I'm asking a silly question here, to which i'm 99% I know the answer, but given the cost and problems implicated, I'm going to ask anyway.

If i have a (Home Assistant) VM running under v7.0.1, is there any way to expose a 9-pin serial port on my Unraid machine to that VM when the CPU/MoBu does not have IOMMU (VT-D) capability?

Just thought I'd ask in case there's some magic workaround I'm not aware of!

Cheers!
