May 19, 20251 yr I signed up for the Gemini Pro preview and have been having it help me write user defined script to take my Unraid SQL database and create a warm read only spare on a windows machine with log shipping. It helped me create a log system, send notifications to unraid, send email for errors, and : do a full back up script once per day (or whatever I do with cron) take the latest full backup and drop/create the secondary database using sqlcmd on the unraid server (manual run) perform log shipping and ingestion in one script Promote the secondary SQL database to readwrite/primary. (then you would need to address the issue with the Unraid instance, and reestablish the primary and then start with step 1 and 2. wrote instructions for installing and running. I was amazed at the depth of knowledge that the AI had in doing this. It would have taken me a week to write the scripts and they would not have been as thorough. It was amazing how AI kept track of all the files and changes and helped me test and troubleshoot, like finding the correct area for sqlcmd, ignoring certificates, loading variables from a single file, port connectivity issues etc. ecific environment.
