Cache: Unmountable or No File System

Featured Replies

*EDIT*

Looks like I MAY have finally managed to fix it. Ended up having to initiate a format of both drives in the cache pool through the terminal. After that, I was able to format them with a new file system within unRAID. The cache pool appears to be functional. For any who may read this, be warned that following my steps for resolution will erase all data on the drives. Thankfully, I did not have anything I absolutely needed on the cache drives and was able to sacrifice what was there. Keep that in mind.

I have been working on this all day with no resolution so it is time I ask for help. I discovered this morning that my cache and VMs were non-functional. Fix Common Problems indicated my cache was either read only or full, neither of which was true. I have been reading various forum posts all day and trying to fix my issue. Somewhere along the way, it morphed from the cache supposedly full to being unmountable as I tried to troubleshoot.

I have tried stopping the array > unassigning the cache pool > starting the array > stopping the array > adding the pool back > restarting the array. No luck.

Ran extended SMART tests on both cache drives. No errors on either drive.

Tried deleting the cache pool altogether and recreating it. No change.

Ran a MemTest and discovered a faulty DIMM. DIMM has been removed from the system. No change. Waiting on delivery of a replacement.

Tried creating a single drive cache both with the other drive just not assigned and with it fully disconnected from the system. No change.

Tried terminal commands I could find in other similar posts but none worked.

At this point, I am unsure where else to go. Diagnostics are attached for review. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Thanks much!
