Issues restoring flash backup

Featured Replies

Today was a normal day, my primary NAS which runs on Unraid 7.1.4 dubbed Loki decided to go offline today while I was doing some transcoding with tdarr on another node. After trying to reboot the system, the drive was no longer bootable, even after attempting to repair it. So, I downloaded a flash backup from Unraid connect which is only a few days old so is perfectly fine, however when I restore the flash backup, the server doesn't take the 'Loki' name which is also specified via the USB drive creator, nor are there any services running to access the WebGUI?

When I run an nmap against this host, I get the following:

I'm not sure what's going on. I did grab the latest Unraid USB drive creator and a fresh copy of the flash backup. I do still have the original flash drive, however since it is relatively new, I did try to restore onto it initially (I know... hindsight is 20/20 moment), but have also tried on a new SanDisk as well and they all have the same issue. Any directions or help on getting this running again, would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, back up and running. I suspect something is off with the documentation or the usb creator tool doesn't actually extract the contents of the flash backup properly, either way, I as able to copy over the /config directory manually after a fresh setup or a flash drive and thus far things seems to be going good.
