October 3, 2025Oct 3 Hi AllWell finally got my 12-bay server-grade SATA, four R5 slots, and pure ECC 10G Ethernet ports https://cwwk.net/collections/nas/products/changwang-cwwk-w680-nas-motherboard-supports-12-bay-server-grade-sata-four-r5-slots-and-pure-ecc-10g-ethernet-ports purchased direct from themselves.Running 13th Gen i5-123500T (for vPro)Crucial Pro DDR5 35GB kit (wanted to do some testing before going down ECC route).Cabling is https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07B9SBSVW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1and running just 6 12TB WD Red DrivesHoused in Slinger CX3702 rack caseAll going well at first with the board migrated across my unraid setup from a prior box, as running jellyfin for home figured i would add it a Intel Arc A320 i had spare. As soon as i put any pcie card in this in beeps like crazy and goes to error 66. Resolved this in testing with a LSI raid card i had spare (dont worry flashed it). onyl way was to do the cover the pin trick with it. (im assuming SMBus conflict for some reason)Apart from this issue (off to raise query with CWWK to see what they say). Oh and latest bios installed.Andy Edited October 3, 2025Oct 3 by Caoboth Fixing some spellings
October 6, 2025Oct 6 This is related to SMBus incompatibilities - google covering pins B5/B6 with kapton tape to stop SMBus collisions. You're welcome :D
