Keevil Posted June 19, 2012 Share Posted June 19, 2012 Hello, I have seen this a few times, when i am unable to open a file that i have created on my server. If you look at the image i have attached that is the error i see when i try and open it in finder. If i ssh into the server this is the directory: drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 104 2012-05-18 21:44 Books/ Should the user not be root? Also how do i change this? Quote Link to comment

Keevil Posted June 19, 2012 Author Share Posted June 19, 2012 The issue is regardint eh ownership of the file, and can be resolved by running the following command: chown -Rv nobody:users [Filename or Directory] This will do a recursive change, if you dont want recursive put -v instead Quote Link to comment
