December 9, 201213 yr Hello, Unraid version 4.7 I've been using unraid for the past 3-4 years without any problems. In the past I've done Trust my array procedure 4-5 times. Never had any problems. Now because of a faulty sata cable one of my drives turned red. I've replaced the cable and everything is ok. I've followed the instructions in the wiki/faq to the letter but it's not working for some reason. initconfig Don't refresh web panel mdcmd set invalidslot 99 Don't refresh web panel ->just press the start button. Nothing changes. Nothing turns blue. The drive is still red. No parity calculation. I've tried to do this couple of times but each time nothing changed. Any advice on this? I don't want to rebuild that drive unless I have to. syslog.txt
December 10, 201213 yr bump Are you responding with "Yes" to the initconfig prompt? It is case sensitive and must be entered with a capital "Y" and lower case 'es" ?? It is OK on the 4.7 release to refresh the screen on the web-management page after typing initconfig. All the disks should be blue. (It is NOT OK to refresh the screen after setting the invalidslot on the newer 5.0 series...) Post a syslog for more analysis. What exactly is "not working" ( If I brought my car to the mechanic and said it was "not working" do you think that is enough for them to figure out what is happening?) What "exact" set of steps did you perform. (I'll bet there are several in the wiki/faq, with at least one relevant to older releases, and possibly another for newer.) When you followed the steps, what happened at each step? Joe L.
