January 27, 201313 yr Hi all. I've come to realise that RC10 no longer works with my RealTek onboard network controller. I want to rid myself once and for all from this situation so i ask, which is the most compatible NIC to use with unRAID? Is it Intel? If so, any recommendations for PCI and PCIE models?

Intel is the cream of the crop for NICs. Use PCI because there will be no speed advantage to using a PCIe slot and you can save your PCIe slots for disk controllers.

January 29, 201313 yr Yes, that should work fine. I don't recall ever seeing a thread with someone saying they were having problems getting an Intel NIC to work.
