January 29, 201313 yr Not related to my other post... I tried installing one into my personal Windows XP computer but upon bootup... nothing. No BIOS screen, no attempt to get to Windows, it just sits there. Rebooting without the card brings back Windows. From my understanding it should simply be to plug it in, and it will either pull up a config between Bios and Windows setup, or Windows will ask for the CD startup disk to handle configuration. This cards should handle drives of various sizes and maintain current HDD contents. What part have I missed that makes this refuse to start? Is it to load CD first in Windows, and then reboot with card plugged in? Any help appreciated.
