My Q25B/C60M1-I movie NAS

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for the community's blessing for my movie NAS. I did a fair amount of research to make sure everything works together nicely, but just to be sure I want to run this by you guys.

Use Case: Movie Tank

The server will be placed in the living room, so it needs to be pleasant to the eye. More importantly, it must be quite enough as to not be noticeable while watching movies. This will, for the most part, be a read-only NAS, so I'm not too concerned with a cache drive for the time being.

Budget: 300€ (~400$)

This includes an unRAID Plus license. I've enough HDDs lying around to get started.

Capacity: 4TB

Using my 4x1TB WD Green drives plus a parity drive I will need to buy. I'm thinking about getting a 3TB WD Red drive for that and replace the old ones as needed.

Addons:

Maybe SABNZBd, but probably not.

Case: Lian Li Q25B

Love the design, love the five hot-swap bays and it's also fairly cheap. One thing I'm not quite sure of is where additional drives would go. Are they mounted on the bottom of the case?

Mainboard: Asus C60M1-I

I want something quiet and hassle-free, so an onboard CPU seems fine. Plus, it's one of the few mATX boards with six SATA ports out there. I'd love some USB 3.0 or eSATA ports, but I guess mATX boards do have their limitations somewhere :-)

PSU: SilverStone Strider Plus ST50F-P

Very affordable, modular and compact (140mm) PSU with decent efficiency. If I'm not completely mistaken, the three molex connectors are sufficient for the five hot-swap drive bays. I'd say that 500W is enough for up to 7 drives (either green or WD red)?

RAM: 1x2GB Kingston ValueRAM

Not really much to say here. I'll probably buy whatever somewhat decent brand is the cheapest when I end up ordering everything.

USB stick: Sony MicroVault Click (8GB)

Pretty straight forward as well :-)

What do you guys think?
