July 7, 201313 yr I have a few folders that do not show up in a custom samba share (not listed in unraid/smb-extra.cfg) that DO show in unraid's main share. It occurs for a few different users, I've checked the share permissions, can this be a directory permission issue? The folders were created by the same user through unraid's share (and don't show up in a custom share to the same location). Any ideas? UPDATE: the folders not showing up in the custom share are folders that are created on a different /mnt/disk...where would I point a custom share that doesn't specify a specific disk? Would /mnt/user be the generic location i'm looking for? It does look like it works, but I'm not sure of possible side effects...Sorry for thinking out loud, just in case someone else needs the info.

Yes, /mnt/user/share_name would be the correct place to point your custom "share" definition. You may use it exactly as /mnt/disk1/share_name (it is the union view of that "share_name" directory across all your disks.) Joe L.
