Hey everyone,

 

I have installed the SimpleFeatures customization for unRAID.  I enabled notifications on the array and immediately I started getting emails saying that there was an "Array Fault".  However when I go check on the array, everything appears to be fine. I have attached the content of the email that I am receiving (I attached instead of pasted because it is long).  Can anyone point me in the right direction on this?

I've only been using unRAID for a few months. During that time, unRAID has published a new final release version, '5.0'.

One thing that is not yet updated is the documentation for the new release.

Unfortunately, the Forums, Wiki, etc., still have a lot of information about earlier versions.

 

Simple Features is no longer up to date. There are some community attempts to move some of the capabilities from Simple Features into new 'plug-ins' frameworks.

One thing that appears to no longer work is email notifications.

 

With the release of 5.0 final, the web interface dramatically changed.

If you are running final 5.0, then:

    if you are also running the new 'WebGUI',

        then SimpleFeatures does not work properly. You should uninstall it.

(this is an easy mistake to make. It took me hours of reading the forums to figure this out.)

        then there is some evidence that some SimpleFeatures features will continue to work.

If you're interested, search the forums for the thread. There's a long thread of 'How' to do the install with v.5, and 'Which' features will then work.

(IMHO, there are not enough features to make it worthwhile. While some work, there are other SF screens which are just wrong.  In the end, I found it more dangerous to have screens around that gave bad info, so I just run the Advance WebGUI...other than the email notifications, it meets all my needs. YMMV.)

Thanks for the response!  I uninstalled simple features and installed the latest webgui.  I lose notifications, but since they were wrong to begin with, not a huge issue I guess.
