December 12, 201312 yr Hi guys, Currently running unRaid 5 with 3 drives. With these virtualization guides here on the forum I thought it might be time to upgrade my old server and take the plunge and virtualize unRaid (XEN/KVM), and maybe add a couple (2-4) additional VMs. Hardware-wise I'm currently leaning towards AMD and wondering if anyone has any experience about running XEN/KVM on AMD APUs and motherboards like FM2A85/FMA88? Seems like most A85X/A88X chipsets have an IOMMU option in the BIOS at least. Is it possible to passthrough the AMD APU gfx to a VM? or do you need to have a separate gfx card?
