January 11, 201412 yr I am by no means a linux guru, but i am always testing, teaching myself and learning how to do new things. My question is there any how-to or gouge out there for a person to build a personalized plugin based on the many linux apps out there. From compiling thru the dependencies up to the web gui .plg interface that most of us are use to? Tried to pick apart some of the existing plugins, just wanted to know if there's a template or how to out there anywhere. Any guidance, flaming, or criticism welcome. I am aware that this would obsolete if unraid is ever redistributed on a full OS, just want to start diving into the matrix and get my feet wet somewhere.
January 12, 201412 yr There's much recent movement in the forums around plugin architectures. Specifically, DYNAMIX and BOXCAR are two of the emerging unRAID webGUI's that are tackling plugins. DYNAMIX replaces the old SimpleFeatures and has recently become very active. There are multiple DYNAMIX threads for the base GUI and the plugins. (just search the forums). BOXCAR has started from scratch and is also pretty nice, if less functional so far. The two authors have begun sharing notes on a possible common approach. January 12, 201412 yr Author Thanks Dale, I have been following their progress on both fronts. Will continue to keep reading threads and picking apart plugins. Just want to make one from scratch and learn the linux language a little more. Thanks again
