October 27, 200619 yr I'm running the original software. Pulled my disc 11 drive, to swop for a new seagate 750 (third for the array and the array is otherwise full of a mix of drive sizes) Unraid recognised that the old drive had been removed and asked if I wanted to reconstruct the array across the new drive, it did something for about five minutes and now the new 750gb drive shows 400gb spare (about right) but is sat disabled All the other drives have spun down. I've tried a reboot and now the same status reoccurs. I'm missing something.
October 27, 200619 yr What versionn of the originnal software are you using? The bug you are describing was fixed in release 2.060706 and was broken in all the prior releases.
October 27, 200619 yr You can read the entire thread describing the problem Richard Harvey found when upgrading drives using the older releases here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=128.0 As I said, it was resolved by Tom in version 2.060706 of unRaid after a lot of investigative work.
