is it the USB stick that is broken, it is a SanDisk Extreme 16GB and has been running since 16 of October 2012

I think that's from a bad block of memory on your flash.

Hopefully, its just a file system problem that can be cleaned up. 

 

Shutdown unRAID, and pop the flash in a PC.

Copy the flash to your PC as a backup. Run checkdisk on the flash. (on a Mac, use Disk Utility)

Repair the flash.

Going to test that, running crashplan on that drive to, on unraid so...

Turned out that the stick was toeasted, liftime warrenty, so are getting a new stick, and thx to Tom that got me a new key for the new stick i got. ;D
