FYI: Asus M2NPV-VM (networking issues)

Featured Replies

For those of you having networking / nic issues with the onboard nic on the Asus M2NPV-VM:

1) Check the VOLUME NAME of your USB Drive.  It should be "UNRAID" as mentioned in other posts.

2) Check the BIOS version.  To update the BIOS:

Head on over to the Asus website and download the latest BIOS (1401). [CORRECTED: NOT 1402]

Throw it on a USB stick.

Enter the BIOS.

Plug in the USB stick.

Enter the EZ-FLASH utility.

Navigate to "C" and bin the 1401.bin BIOS file and update. [CORRECTED: NOT 1402]

After restarting, you shouldn't have any problems with the onboard gigabit nic.

Hope this helps someone....as these are the steps I took.

unRAID works great, finds LAN, web interface works, read/write checks out also.

DOH!

You are correct, 1401.bin, NOT 1402 typo on my part.  The post has been corrected.

Thanks :)
