ACPI errors with MSI H87M-E35 - Anything to worry about?

Recommended Posts

I've been moving files over to my new server prior to turning on the Parity drive and I was browsing the logs in the meantime.  I noticed several ACPI errors that may or may not mean anything.  I certainly can't test powerdown while I'm copying files and the array is started, so that will have to wait.

Search turned up several of the same errors, but none specifically for the MSI H87-E35 board so I thought I'd ask if anyone has experience with these boards and whether or not is just a setting I mucked up in the BIOS or something else.  Or if I'm OK to ignore them altogether, which seems to be consensus on some other threads.

One thing I'm going to do is to get the APC daemon installed on this thing so it's controlling my mondo UPS and I'm hoping that this ACPI error isn't going to keep the system from powering down properly.

Here are a few of my log errors just you have them:

Oh and there is a newer BIOS available, but it doesn't say anything in the update has anything to do with ACPI so I haven't updated just yet.  Worried that it might cause more issues if I do.

I don't see anything at all unusual.  The 'ACPI Errors' are quite common, sometimes disappear with a BIOS update, but all too often remain.  Unless this machine is required for very critical stuff, then I would go ahead with the BIOS update myself, and it *may* help.  Often, machines have methods to make backups of the current BIOS, and that's always a good idea.
