simultaneous streaming of multiple music playlists - can it be done?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a homebuilt wifi internet radio (hat tip to MightyOhm), that allows me to play selected radio streams throughout my house. I would like to add new "channels" of streaming music from my music collection. So for example, I would always be streaming a country channel, a classical channel, a rock channel, My Wife's channel, etc, and could select the channel to be listened to on the WIR.

When a channel is selected, the radio "listens" to the IP/Port associated with the channel.

Is this possible? What music streamer should I use?

Thanks in advance

You can use something like subsonic where each person can have their own login and their own set of playlists.  There is a plugin for it in the forum, perhaps the influencer thread.
