Jetjockey Posted May 12, 2014 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Morning all Changed my syslinux.cfg file and added acpi=off to remove all the warnings in my syslog to the effect that ACPI Namespace lookup errors existed. This was after updating the BIOS failed to fix the problem. I am now left with this one "RED" error remaining in the syslog. Please see the excerpt below. I guess if it is red then it must be serious? It does not mean it is serious, just that the crude filters in unMENU colored it red because it contained the word "error"somewhere on it. It would be colored red if it said "no errors detected" simply because it too would have the string "error" somewhere within it. It might just be an area of memory allocated by your bios/kernel for that purpose. (to handle errors) or an indication of an actual error of some kind. A google search on "kernel pmd node 0" might give you some clues. Joe L. Quote Link to comment
