gcleaves
Hi, does anybody know how to get eSATA hot plug, ala USB, to work? unRaid beta 12 does not recognise my eSATA drive when I plug it in. If I boot the server with the drive plugged in, it is recognised. I've read in the forum that people had luck with scsiadd on version 5 but it doesn't seem to work with v6, probably due to this: [pre]scsiadd need the /proc/scsi/scsi file to send its commands to the linux kernel. In 2.6 kernels this file is considered deprecated and you have to enable the following kernel option so this file is generated: Device Drivers->SCSI device support->legacy /proc/scsi/ support[/pre]Anybody have any luck with this? If not, can anybody recommend a USB PCIe card that works with unRaid, fits into a HP Microserver G7, and can be readily purchased (ie not discontinued). Thanks! Link to comment
gcleaves
Well, I'm making some progress. Running: rescan-scsi-bus recognizes the drive and it shows up in fdisk -l and can then be mounted. Not very automatic but progress. Link to comment
