July 9, 201510 yr I upgraded to 6.0.1 yesterday and in the short term installed PhAzE's BTSync plugin for 6.0, replacing my old version from Overbyrn. After some troubles with that, which had nothing to do with unRAID or the plugin itself, I now have my syncing all setup again. Not a fan of BTSync's new version either, but not the issue! Ok, so at this point BTSync is the only real "application" plugin I'm using. I figured putting the plugin in would be a fast way to get back up and running to keep my media server and unRAID server synced which is why I went that route to begin with. Now I'm wondering if there's any real benefit in moving this over to a Docker container thing. Yes? No? If yes, will I be able to retain all the configuration stuff which is residing on my cache drive at this point? (/mnt/cache/appdata/btsync to be exact.) Or am I going to have to start from scratch on this? Is the configuration data compatible since it's the latest version? Also, there are 2 versions of BTSync showing up in the Community Applications plugin screen - one from hurricane and one from gfjardim. How the heck am I supposed to know which of them is the better of the 2 or whatever? The support forum threads don't exactly provide much insight there. If everyone thinks I should jump to Docker for this, that's fine. I'm just trying to minimize issues in doing so. The guide on Docker is fairly OK, but I'm still a bit timid on setting one up, especially since I want to use an existing config (including the WebUI Port for BTSync).
