BillK
I just purchased a Sony MicroVault Tiny 512MB USB thumbdrive and can't get over how small it is! It measures just 1 3/16" long by 9/16" wide by >1/8" thick....perfect for the back of my rackmount case. I'm getting ready to press it into service, will post an update after I swap thumbdrives and give it a test. Quote Link to comment
BillK
So far the Sony MicroVault Tiny Flash Drive is working great. As I said earlier, it's small size is perfect for a rackmount configuration and it seems to boot more quickly than my old 256MB Lexar Jumpdrive 2.0 Pro. My only warning...make sure you install it in the USB port right-side-up! It's so small that it will fit in upside down. Luckily, it didn't take me long to realize the error and flip it. I did run HP's Flash Formatter tool to initialize the unit and get rid of all the "extra" software, although I don't know if that's mandatory. Quote Link to comment
