datamile
Hi, n40L , 4 disk , 6.1.6 I want to split some of my shares to speed up a plex server which is sitting on top as they have over 3000 files. The shares are across the same disks. Is there a way to move the files between shares without actually moving the files ? would I just a the telnet level is is a case of /disk1/tv1/prog1/series1/episode1.avi mv prog1 to /disk1/tv2 or doesn't everything work like that with shares and parity ? Yes, this will work. Just make sure to use the disk shares and not user shares as the source and destination. Link to comment
