November 18, 200916 yr I think I may have seriously erred here. I did not backup my config folder, and when upgrading I overwrote it. Now when I load up, no drives are found. Is there anyway I can recover?

Is there anyway I can recover? It is just that there are none currently assigned on the devices page. If you remember which drives were assigned to which slots it will be easy... just re-assign them and you will be able to start the array. (it will begin the process of calculating parity... let it finish) If you are not absolutely certain of which drive was the parity drive, do not assign it at this time. Just assign the data drives. Then, with ONLY the data drives assigned, start the array. If they are all assigned correctly, no drive will appear as unformatted and you should be able to browse to the disk shares and see your files. IF ANY DRIVE SHOWS AS UNFORMATTED, IT IS LIKELY TO BE THE PARITY DRIVE... DO NOT PRESS THE FORMAT BUTTON!!!! If you see all the drives with their data, then it is OK to stop the array and assign the parity drive to its slot. Joe L.
November 18, 200916 yr Author THanks Joe! I actually just figured this out and started the Parity. Will my user shares return as well?
