Hey all, in the middle of switching from unraid to freenas for my personal NAS at home.  Been on FreeNAS for a few years, a friend finally told me i should check out unraid since I was having to go through so much BS to add more drives to my freenas.  Currently I am moving all my old data to a external drive off freenas to be able to add the 3 existing drives to my unraid setup. 

 

 

Anybody run BlueIris NVR software in a VM for their surveillance and then have it store to the NAS storage?

 

My Server specs:

CPU: Xeon E3-1230 v3

Mobo: Supermicro X10SLL+-F-O

Ram: 32GB ECC DDR3-1600

SAS card: LSI SAS9211-8I (IT mode)

HD: 8 WD Red 4TB
